Privacy notice

Last updated: 10 May 2026

This privacy notice explains how Akaterra AB handles personal data when you visit akaterra.com or get in touch with us.

The short version

This website does not collect personal data automatically. We do not use cookies, analytics, or tracking. The only way personal data reaches us is if you choose to email us directly.

What we collect

We collect personal data only when you actively send it to us. This happens when you click one of the contact buttons on this site, which opens your own email client. No data is stored or transmitted by the website itself.

When you email us, we receive whatever you choose to include: typically your name, email address, company name, and the content of your message.

Why we collect it

We use your contact details and message solely to respond to your enquiry and, if relevant, to discuss potential collaboration. We do not use it for marketing. We do not share it with third parties.

Legal basis

Under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), we process your data on the basis of:

  • Legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f)) for responding to enquiries you have actively sent us
  • Contract performance (Article 6(1)(b)) where our exchange leads to a working relationship

How long we keep it

We keep email correspondence as long as it is relevant to an active or potential client relationship, plus the period required by Swedish accounting and tax law for any related invoices (typically seven years). Beyond that, correspondence is deleted on request or during routine archive review.

Where it lives

Email correspondence is stored on standard business email services (Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, or similar) operated by reputable providers with appropriate security and GDPR compliance. Data may be processed within the EU or in third countries covered by an adequacy decision or standard contractual clauses.

Your rights

Under GDPR, you have the right to:

  • Request access to the personal data we hold about you
  • Ask for inaccurate data to be corrected
  • Ask for your data to be deleted
  • Object to or restrict our processing
  • Receive your data in a portable format
  • Lodge a complaint with the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (Integritetsskyddsmyndigheten, imy.se)

To exercise any of these rights, email info@akaterra.com.

Cookies and tracking

This website does not set cookies. It does not run analytics scripts. It does not embed third-party trackers. There is nothing for you to consent to or opt out of.

If this changes in future, we will update this notice and add a clear consent banner before any tracking begins.

External links

The site links to external services such as LinkedIn or third-party tools. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, which we encourage you to read.

Changes to this notice

We may update this notice occasionally. The "last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent change. Material changes will be flagged on the homepage.
